Club President

Plaxcedes Majuru is a former banker with 25 years’ experience. She has diversified to Administrative Consultancy a profession she loves so much. She was introduced to Rotary by Past Assistant Governor Nyepudzayi Nyangulu and was inducted on the 28th of June 2014. Plaxcedes has served in several committees such as Fellowship and Fundraising, New Generations, Training and Club Admin. She held the position of Club Secretary from 2016 to 2022. It is a role that she was passionate about and it gave her the opportunity to learn more about Rotary. Due to her commitment over the years, she has managed to earn the following Rotary accolades. Nyangulus Award for the Most Resilient Rotarian for 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2020/2021 and 2021/2022, Most Committed Secretary for 2016-2017, Anne Nyakunu Award for Best Team Player for 2019/2020 and the John Coxley Memorial Award in 2023 for The Rotarian of the Year. She has held 100% Club Meeting Attendance Award in the following years, 2018/2019, 2020/2021, 2022/2023.

At District level she attended the Mangochi District Conference in Malawi in 2016 and the Harare District Conference in Zimbabwe in 2022. In 2022 she also attended DG Manuella Matambo`s inauguration in Chimoio Mozambique. Plaxcedes is a Rotary Leadership Institute graduate for the class of 2022. She has also actively participated in numerous club projects that include wheelchair and book handovers. As a President she will continue to serve “Above Self “through life changing service projects”. Charity work gives her energy and drive.

Plaxcedes started her Community Service endeavours in 1987 when she served as a Junior Councillor for the City of Harare. As a pastime she loves cooking, baking and gardening. She is a devout Christian who is a member of the Mabelreign United Methodist Church and attends International Bible Study Fellowship.
